After the success of our 2023 event I am proud to announce the Record Enable Production Weekend taking place at Parachute Music on the 5th and 6th of October 2024!

 

The weekend, open to women and non-binary people, is designed to provide participants with opportunities to collaborate and record music at a professional level. There will be three producer rooms, each with a producer, an artist, and a collaborator, completing a demo the artist has provided. Additionally, Parachute Studio A will be available to record live instruments. 

 

The goal of the workshop is to help participants, most notably the producers, gain confidence in collaborating and producing high-quality music.

 

At the end of the weekend there will be a listening party for participants to hear everyone’s songs.

 

Based on feedback from the 2023 event, there will be a half day demo recording tutorial prior to the weekend for the producers. This workshop will ensure they have the recording skills required to run a smooth production session. 

 

Requirements as an artist : 

• Have previously created and released music

• Has multiple demos they can bring to the sessions to choose from

• Is open to working with new and developing producers

 

Requirement as a collaborator : 

• Have previously contributed to the creation of released music

• Ideally is proficient at one or multiple instruments

• Is open to working with new and developing producers

 

Requirements as a producer :

• Have previously produced at least one released song

• Intends to produce more music in the future

• Wants to develop their skills to better produce for other people

• Has their own computer and DAW to bring to the workshop

• Is available on the 30/09, 02/10, or 04/10 for a demo recording tutorial before the workshop
